Peter Titelman
Peter Titelman, PhD, is a clinical psychologist who specializes in Bowen family systems therapy, consultation, training, and supervision. He specializes in helping adult individuals and couples with relationship and life cycle issues, including leaving home, marriage, the arrival of children, separation, divorce, and remarriage. In addition, he deals with clinical issues such as anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. He has a special interest in obesity and provides psychological assessments to individuals preparing for Lapband surgery.

Dr. Titelman is the editor of The Therapist’s Own Family: Toward the Differentiation of Self(Aronson, 1987), in which he and the other contributors illustrate the application of Bowen’s concept of differentiation of self to the therapist’s own family as a means of working toward personal and professional responsibility. He is also the editor of Clinical Applications of Bowen Family Systems Theory (Haworth 1998), Emotional Cutoff: Bowen Family Systems Theory Perspectives (Haworth 2003), and Triangles (Haworth 2008).
Dr. Titelman graduated from Earlham College and received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Duquesne University. An AAMFT Approved Supervisor, he has taught and supervised professionals and graduate students in several New England graduate and professional schools.

Katharine Baker
Katharine G. Baker, PhD, is an experienced clinician who specializes in work with families, couples, and individuals. She is particularly interested in life transitions with a focus on retirement, aging, widowhood, grief and loss. As a consultant she has worked with family enterprises and closely held firms, providing executive and leadership coaching, strategic planning, organizational learningservices, and time management seminars. She also has special interest and expertise in working with sibling, cousin, and other family groups who share properties and are engaged in succession planning.

Dr. Baker has developed a specialized service, "Getting Your Financial House in Order: A Consultation Service for Widows and Divorcees." This individually tailored service coaches clients to build competence and confidence in effectively managing the emotional aspects of financial, business, and philanthropic decisions following divorce or the death of a spouse.
One of Dr. Baker's particular interests is working with family foundations and family philanthropies. She facilitates family board meetings that deal with wealth management issues, and she coaches and trains family leaders and the non-family middle management of family businesses. She also coaches family businesses going through organizational shifts, such as rapid growth, downsizing and generational succession.
Dr. Baker has contributed chapters to a number of books and has published articles on a wide variety of topics. She recently co-authored an article in Family Business Review entitled "Leadership, Legacy and Emotional Process in Family Business." She has also written an article entitled "Family Business in the New Russia" for Families in Business Magazine, and co-authored "Giving Harmoniously as a Family" for More Than Money Journal. She is currently working on a book entitled, “The Hidden Challenge of Leadership.”
Dr. Baker graduated from Harvard/Radcliffe College and received a master's degree in Russian Studies from NYU. She also holds master’s and doctoral degrees in social work from Catholic University. She serves on a number of community and non-profit Boards.
